Side extension and first floor balcony in Tewin
My Clients are a family of four who had recently purchased the property in Tewin. The property had not been updated for many years and they were keen to extend the same and provide a family room style extension in which they wished to incorporate the kitchen, dining room and family area to appreciate their view.
One of their main considerations was light. I came up with a design which considered these elements and submitted for planning consent which was successfully obtained. The approved plans included a first floor balcony with glass screening to provide privacy for the adjoining property.
However, on reflection, the Client decided that they wished to change the size of the doors leading to the balcony for which I submitted a non-material minor amendment application, which was subsequently approved and the project was completed satisfactorily.
