Garage converted into annex in East Herts

The Client approached me regarding the possibility of converting their existing double garage into an external annex for elderly relatives.

My initial thoughts were that as it stood, the garage would not be large enough to comfortably accommodate the needs of an elderly couple. I suggested that it would be wise to apply to extend the existing garage as well as convert the existing structure. The Client was happy to go along with my suggestions. I prepared a draft scheme for the Client to include a lounge area, one bedroom with wardrobe, WC with bathroom and a kitchenette.

Iprepared a Schedule of Works and oversaw the building regulations throughout the project.
